Membership Terms
Effective date: July 28, 2026
The short version
Memberships are month to month. There is no long-term contract, no minimum term, and no cancellation fee. If you want to leave, we will help you take everything with you.
We think a client who stays because the work is good is worth more than a client who stays because they signed something. That is the whole reason these terms read the way they do.
Who we are
Digilu provides marketing, visibility, and advisory services. These terms cover memberships bought on this website. Larger engagements are arranged in a separate written agreement, and where that agreement differs from this page, that agreement governs.
Memberships and pricing
Current membership prices are shown on the memberships page and are the prices we charge. Minimum is $150 per month. Trust Foundation is $400 per month. Higher levels are arranged directly.
Prices can change, but never for you mid-membership without notice. If we change the price of a membership you already hold, we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then at no cost.
Billing and renewal
Your membership renews automatically every month on the same date you started, and your payment method is charged automatically, until you cancel. You are agreeing to that when you start a membership. You can cancel at any time, and cancelling is a link in your billing area, not a phone call and not a negotiation.
We prefer payment by bank transfer, ACH. It costs us less to process than a card. You can also pay by card, and you can keep a card on file as a backup in case a bank payment fails. We will never move you from one payment method to another without asking you: authorising a card is not authorisation to debit a bank account, and we treat those as the separate permissions they are.
You can manage payment methods, see every invoice, and cancel from your billing area.
Annual payment
If you would rather pay for a year at once, we offer a discount for it. It is an option you choose, never a condition of joining and never something we apply on your behalf.
If a payment fails
We will try again, and we will tell you it happened. Your membership stays active while we sort it out. We do not switch off a client the day a card expires. If a payment cannot be collected after repeated attempts, we will contact you before anything stops, and we will not sell your account to a collections agency.
Bank payments can fail weeks after they appear to have succeeded. That is how ACH works, not a mistake on your side, and we handle it the same way.
Cancelling
You have two options, and both are yours to choose. Neither costs anything.
Cancel with 30 days notice, and we help you move
Tell us you are leaving and give us 30 days. In that time we will help you transfer everything: your website and its content, your domain and DNS, your analytics history, your listings and profiles, and any assets we produced for you. We will hand over what a new agency or an in-house team needs to pick up where we left off, and we will answer their questions.
You pay for those 30 days. You do not pay a penny beyond them.
Cancel immediately
If you would rather cut it clean, say so and we will stop that day. Your membership ends, billing stops, and we remove your data from our systems: your Observatory access, your reports, your stored analytics, and the working files we hold for you.
This is not reversible. If you take this option, there is nothing for us to hand over afterwards, because it will be gone.
What we have to keep either way
We keep invoices, payment records, and the correspondence attached to them, because tax and accounting law requires us to. We keep nothing else. Payment card and bank details are held by our payment processor, Stripe, and never by us: we cannot delete what we were never given, and we cannot see it either.
What you own
You own your business, your brand, your content, your domain, your accounts, and the data we gather about them on your behalf. We do not hold your domain hostage, we do not register accounts in our own name, and we do not treat your access as leverage. If we build something for you as part of a membership, it is yours.
What we do not promise
We do not guarantee a ranking, a position in an AI answer, a volume of leads, or a revenue figure. Anyone who guarantees those things is either lying or does not understand the systems involved. What we commit to is the work, the judgement, the reporting, and telling you the truth about what is happening, including when it is not working.
We do not control Google, any AI system, any directory, or any platform, and their decisions are not ours to promise.
Your side of it
We ask for three things: give us the access we need to do the work, tell us when something changes in your business, and do not ask us to publish anything untrue. Claims we cannot support are the one thing we will refuse, on any budget.
Refunds
If we charged you in error, we refund it, in full, without argument. If you are unhappy with the work, tell us and we will fix it or refund the month. We would rather return $400 than keep a client who feels taken.
Suspension
We may pause or end a membership if payment cannot be collected after we have contacted you, if we are asked to do something unlawful or dishonest, or if a working relationship becomes abusive toward our people. We will tell you why, in writing, before it happens.
Liability
Our total liability for any claim relating to a membership is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost opportunity. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will email you at least 30 days beforehand and note the date on this page. Continuing your membership after that means you accept the change. If you do not, cancel before it takes effect and nothing further is charged.
