Appendix · Adaptive Brand Management: Foundations
Version Notes
What Version 3.0 fixed, and the commitment to hold it as the reference edition through January 2027.
Version 3.0 fixes the formal classification as an extension of brand management. It retains the definition, confirms trust, visibility, and relevance as the three operating conditions, defines operating environment in its ordinary management sense, treats machine-mediated discovery as a current example within visibility, removes the living-system metaphor, and adds practical illustrations of stable core and adaptive execution.
Version 3.0 is intended to remain the reference version through January 2027 unless material evidence requires an earlier revision. Later versions may add measurement models, test sector- specific applications, introduce case studies, and remove claims that do not hold. Revision is expected. The document should demonstrate the discipline it describes.
Publication record
Version 3.0 was published in July 2026 at marketinghelix.com/adaptive-brand-management/. On 1 August 2026 the paper moved to digilu.com/adaptive-brand-management/foundations/, and the publisher of record changed from Marketing Helix to Digilu. Every previous URL redirects permanently to its counterpart here.
The reason is stated plainly because a paper that quietly changes its own provenance stops being citable. Adaptive Brand Management is the category Digilu operates in commercially, and the paper defining that category was sitting on a second domain, competing with the company for the same term. Marketing Helix remains the home of the Marketing Helix model and of customers in motion, which is a different subject. Nothing in the text of Version 3.0 was altered by the move: the wording, the classification, the definition, the three operating conditions and the references are unchanged, and the commitment to hold this as the reference edition through January 2027 still stands.
The author is unchanged. Mike Millett wrote it.
